PICP – Poliquin International Certification Program

ABOUT: Charles Poliquin is a world renown Strength Coach who has trained Olympic Medalists in twelve separate sports as well as hundreds of professional athletes. Charles is arguably the most influential figure in the Strength & Conditioning world. The PICP program is based on his teachings and methodologies.

WHO THIS CERTIFICATION IS FOR: The PICP certification is geared towards strength development and athletic performance, but the curriculum also encompasses hypertrophy and fat loss. Although there are no prerequisites to the level 1 certification, to make the most of it, we do recommend a good base in anatomy and physiology as well as some prior experience as a personal trainer or strength coach.

LEVELS: The PICP program has 5 levels

CURRICULUM: Level 1: Upper body training parameters, programing, structural balance assessment, exercise progressions. Level 2: Upper body training parameters, programing, structural balance assessment, exercise progressions. Level 3: Rehabilitation, mobility, performance supplementation, energy system training, program design. Level 4: Advanced strength training techniques, speed development, integrating plyometrics, recovery methods. Level 5: A competency-based designation for world-class strength coaches

PERFORMANCE PRE-REQUISITES: none

TORONTO DATES: Level 1 and 2 are offered in Toronto once per year usually in summer months. Higher levels must be completed in Rhode Island.
